THE STORY
BEFORE THE NAME
Over ten years before HerbSyde was a name, the same crew was already deep in the DatPiff mixtape era. Kayto rolled in the same area, but the crew first linked up online, back in the Xbox 360 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare days.
Toolz On Mic is on every tape in the run, front and centre from day one. Every one of those tapes was mixed and mastered by BannDIgz.
The first four tapes weren't just online drops. Instrumentalz vs. The Barz, The Pre TOMB, The TOMB and The Pro TOMB were sold physically in record shops, including Big Apple Records in Croydon.
Some of the old music from before 2012 is still up on Toolz On Mic's SoundCloud, so you can hear where it all started.
